7 Weave Alternatives for Clinics in 2026

By , CEO and founder, Puppeteer AI · · 7 min read

The main Weave alternatives for clinics are NexHealth, Podium, Adit, Curogram, Emitrr and Solutionreach, plus Recupra if you want to keep your current systems and add automated calling on top. The right one depends on what you actually want to change: your phones, your patient messaging, or the manual work around your schedule.

Weave starts at $199 a month, and its plans page spells out what that buys. So this guide starts there, then compares each alternative on phones, texting, AI and how it prices.

One of the options is Recupra, which we make. Every product and price claim below comes from that company's own website, checked on November 6, 2026.

What Weave does well for clinics, and why practices compare it

Weave puts phones and patient messaging with one vendor. Its base plan includes Call Pop, two-way texting, missed call text, text to pay, a mobile app, team chat, call analytics, fax and an integration with your system, with or without two Yealink phones. Its medical page adds online scheduling, waitlists, reminders and automatic appointment writebacks to your practice management system, and cites a rating of 4.6 out of 5 on more than 375 G2 reviews.

Four things are worth checking if you are comparing it with other options:

  • What the starting price covers. Reminders, confirmations, online scheduling, forms and recall are in a separate bundle, not the $199 base plan.
  • How leaving works. Weave's FAQ says it does not require long-term contracts, though it offers discounts on year-long ones. Its terms add that no cancellation takes effect until all phone numbers on the account have been ported out, and that an order with a stated term is owed in full.
  • How far the AI goes. Weave's AI Receptionist is listed as early access. It answers calls and texts around the clock and captures appointment requests, while automatic booking and rescheduling are marked for qualified dental practice management systems only.
  • Who owns it now. Francisco Partners completed its acquisition of Weave in an all-cash deal valued at about $650 million, as announced in October 2026. If you are near a renewal, ask whether your price and terms carry over.

How much does Weave cost?

Weave's plans page lists these prices:

  • Base plan: $199 a month.
  • Coordinate bundle: $149 a month, for online scheduling, digital forms, reminders and follow-ups, appointment confirmations, and recall and reactivation texts and calls.
  • Attract bundle: $149 a month, for reviews, Text Connect, email marketing (10,000 emails) and bulk texting (5,000 texts).
  • AI Receptionist: listed separately.

By our math, the base plan and both bundles come to $497 a month before any discount or add-on. Weave's FAQ says there is no free trial of the full platform.

Weave also has a second pricing page, which says "starting from $199 per month" and lists Pro, Elite and Ultimate tiers with no price shown for each. Ask which structure your quote uses.

The alternatives to Weave for clinics

NexHealth (scheduling and payments, keep your phones)

NexHealth's own comparison page positions it against Weave directly: it works with the phone system you already have, including Weave, and includes call pop. Its focus is the work around the appointment: online scheduling, a waitlist that fills cancellations, custom forms, reminders by text and email, and payments.

  • Fits: practices that are happy with their phones and want the calendar and collections work automated.
  • Watch for: pricing is quote only. Annual plans need 90 days' notice not to renew. NexHealth offers to buy out a current vendor contract, with exclusions.

Podium (aesthetics)

Podium sells across many industries, and its pricing page asks you to talk to sales for plan details. Its healthcare offer is aimed at aesthetics: an EMR with charting and scheduling, a single inbox, an AI-powered phone system, and an AI agent called Avery that responds to leads and books into your calendar. Its aesthetics page says its Terms of Service include a Business Associate Agreement that applies when protected health information is processed.

  • Fits: med spas and aesthetic practices that would also replace their EMR.
  • Watch for: the customer stories on its main pricing page come largely from outside healthcare, such as HVAC and mattress retail. Prices are not published.

Adit (dental, optometry, chiropractic and orthodontics)

Adit combines phones, texting, reminders, forms, scheduling, payments, reviews, analytics and insurance verification. Its AI Front Desk handles after-hours and missed calls. Its pricing page says its tech packages have no binding contracts, and it was running a "Free phones & VoIP for life" offer when we checked.

  • Fits: practices in the four specialties Adit lists in its menu, especially if phones are part of the change.
  • Watch for: no prices are shown on its pricing page. The no-contract line is tied to a "structured 1-year commitment" under its Performance Marketing Program, so read that part. A clinic outside those specialties should ask about support first.

Curogram (texting on top of your EMR)

Curogram is a HIPAA-compliant texting platform with reminders, forms, mass messaging, text to pay, reputation tools, telemedicine and missed call or voicemail to text. It lists EMR and VoIP integration and describes itself as SOC 2 certified.

  • Fits: medical practices that want patient texting without changing phones.
  • Watch for: its blog posts disagree on price. One says $200 to $400 per month per provider, with setup included and no per-message fees. Another reports a start around $125 a month. Get the number in writing.

Emitrr (AI voice agent and VoIP)

Emitrr's healthcare page offers a 24/7 AI voice agent, missed-call-to-text, HIPAA-compliant SMS and VoIP, faxing and scheduling, and integrations including athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, DrChrono and Dentrix. Its own Weave comparison says a Business Associate Agreement is available.

  • Fits: practices that want phones, texting and an AI answering agent from one vendor.
  • Watch for: the published numbers cover VoIP only: $20 per user per month billed annually or $25 monthly on Standard, and $25 or $30 on Professional. Emitrr says final pricing can vary with products, integrations and usage, and that write-back depth depends on your system.

Solutionreach (reminders and recall)

Solutionreach covers reminders, recall, two-way texting and scheduling, and says switching phone systems is an option but not required. Its packages cap monthly SMS at 1,750, 3,500 or 4,500, with tailored volume on Enterprise. Its AI Receptionist, Stella, is described as an AI-powered voicemail replacement.

  • Fits: practices that want reminders and recall from an established vendor and do not want to touch their phones.
  • Watch for: pricing is quote only, its contract options are yearly, and you should check your likely message volume against the package limits.

Recupra (an add-on that recovers revenue, not a phone system)

Recupra is the odd one out here, because it does not replace Weave's phones or inbox. It connects to your EHR and runs AI voice agents for specific jobs. The AI receptionist answers 24/7 and books, reschedules and cancels in your EHR. No-show recovery calls patients within 24 hours of a miss, and patient reactivation works through lapsed patients.

Recupra's pricing has no platform or setup fee. You pay per result, for example $3 per request resolved, $25 per slot filled from the waitlist, $25 per no-show recovered and $40 per patient reactivated. It lists 13 native EHR integrations and 32 more systems with a hands-on setup, which is where Dentrix, Eaglesoft and Open Dental sit.

  • Fits: clinics that keep their phones and messaging, and want empty slots and lapsed patients worked by phone without adding front desk hours.
  • Watch for: if your goal is one vendor for phones, texting inbox, reviews and payments, Recupra is not that. Adit, Podium or Weave itself fit that goal better.

How to choose a Weave alternative for your practice

  • Decide whether the phones change. If you like your phone system, NexHealth, Curogram, Solutionreach and Recupra can leave it in place. If not, compare Adit, Emitrr and Podium. Plan the number port first, since Weave's cancellation depends on it.
  • Compare total cost, not the starting price. Ask each vendor for a written quote covering the same features, and count users, providers, locations and message limits.
  • Test your specialty and EHR. Several of these tools lean dental or aesthetic. Ask what writes back to your system, feature by feature, rather than whether an integration exists.
  • Check what the AI finishes. Taking a request and booking the appointment are different jobs. Our guide to front desk automation covers which tasks are worth automating.
  • Get the Business Associate Agreement in hand. Confirm HIPAA terms before any patient data moves.

If your main concern is empty slots, not phones, our comparisons of no-show recovery services and patient reactivation software go deeper.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Weave alternative for a medical clinic?

It depends on what you want to replace. To keep your phones and add texting, look at Curogram or Solutionreach. For an AI voice agent with VoIP, look at Emitrr. For scheduling and payments, look at NexHealth. Adit and Podium focus on dental and related specialties, and on aesthetics, so a general medical clinic should ask about fit first.

How much does Weave cost?

Weave's plans page starts at $199 a month for the base plan. The Coordinate and Attract bundles are $149 a month each, so all three come to $497 a month by our math, before discounts or add-ons.

Does Weave require a long-term contract?

Weave's FAQ says it does not require long-term contracts, though it offers discounts on year-long ones. Its terms say no cancellation takes effect until all phone numbers on the account have been ported out.

Which Weave alternatives publish their prices?

Of the tools here, Emitrr publishes VoIP prices in its blog, Curogram gives ranges in its blog posts, and Recupra publishes per-result prices. NexHealth, Podium and Solutionreach work by quote, and Adit shows no prices on its pricing page.

Why is Recupra on this list?

We make Recupra, and it fits one specific case: a clinic that wants to keep its phones and messaging but add AI calling that books into the EHR. It does not replace Weave's phone system, so it is not the right pick if that is what you want to change.
