Who we are
Recupra is a patient-engagement platform operated by Puppeteer AI. Healthcare clinics use Recupra to automate appointment communication with their patients, including voice calls and SMS text messages. When you interact with Recupra, we act as a service provider to your clinic and handle your information on the clinic’s behalf. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information provided by your healthcare clinic and generated when we communicate with you on its behalf, including your name, mobile phone number, appointment details (such as date, time, and provider), and your responses to our messages and calls. We do not collect payment card data through this program.
How we use information
We use your information solely to operate appointment communication on behalf of your clinic — for example, to notify you when an earlier appointment time opens up, send appointment reminders, and let you book, confirm, or reschedule an appointment. We also use it to honor opt-out requests and to operate, secure, and improve the service.
SMS and mobile information
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only to operate the appointment text-message program on behalf of your clinic. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of receiving care.
How we share information
We share your information with the healthcare clinic where you are a patient, and with subprocessors that help us deliver the service (such as our telephony and messaging providers) under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Where we handle protected health information, we do so under a Business Associate Agreement consistent with HIPAA. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service to your clinic and to meet legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. To access, correct, or delete your information, contact your clinic directly or reach us at the address below and we will coordinate with your clinic.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to deliver the service.
