Integration · Elation Health
Recupra + Elation Health: the primary care schedule, kept full.
Elation is built for independent primary care. Recupra reads each provider's availability rule, works out the open times the same way Elation's own Booking Site does, and books and confirms visits straight into the chart.
No call. No credit card. Plug-and-play setup in 5 minutes.
The integration
How Recupra works with Elation Health
Elation Health is a clinical-first EHR used widely by independent primary care practices in the United States. Its API covers patients, physicians, appointments, and appointment types, and it lets an outside system confirm a visit and register a new patient, which most EHRs in this list do not.
Elation publishes availability as a rule rather than as slots: a weekly window per provider, set in Settings, then Calendar & Booking, then Availability. Recupra reads that rule, takes away booked visits and Calendar Blocks, and offers what is left. Missed visits arrive as Not Seen with a No Show detail, which our guide to Elation's two-level status explains.
What frees a slot in Elation Health
- Cancelled
- No Show (optional)
A status without a label triggers a recovery call by default. The ones marked optional stay off until you turn them on.

The arithmetic
What an empty primary care slot costs
Primary care runs on volume and continuity. A missed visit costs the fee, and it also pushes a chronic-care check or an annual visit further out.
- Typical appointment
- 15 to 30 minutes with the patient's own provider
- What a missed visit reimburses
- Nothing
- What it delays
- Follow-ups, refills, and preventive care
- Who usually makes the recall calls
- Front-desk staff, between check-ins
The fee is the small part. A patient whose follow-up slips by a month is a patient whose care plan slips with it, which is why patient follow-up matters as much as the backfill.
Side by side
Elation reminds and confirms. Recupra calls when the reminder is not enough.
What Elation does on its own
Elation sends up to three automated appointment reminders by text, email, or automated phone call, based on the patient's preferred contact method. A patient who confirms by text or email moves the appointment from Scheduled to Confirmed.
The automated phone reminder has no confirm or cancel option: it asks the patient to call the office if they need to change anything. A patient whose only numbers on file are work or other numbers gets no reminder at all.
What Recupra adds
A reminder works for the patient who was going to come. Recupra handles the others: it calls the patient who did not confirm, rebooks the No Show into a real opening, and works through your patients when a visit is cancelled.
Because Elation accepts a confirmation through its API, a patient who confirms on a Recupra call shows as Confirmed in Elation, the same as one who tapped the link in a reminder.

Vocabulary
Recupra speaks Elation Health
Your agent uses the words your staff already use, so nothing on a call sounds translated.
- Physician → Provider
- Elation's own noun for anyone who holds a schedule.
- Availability → Provider hours
- The weekly window Recupra reads to work out what is open.
- Calendar Block → Blocked time
- Subtracted from the window, so a block is never offered.
- Not Seen, No Show → No-show
- Elation keeps the reason in a detail field, and Recupra reads it.
Setup
Connecting Elation Health takes one sitting
- 01
Ask Elation for API access
Elation provisions API credentials for your practice and sends a client ID and secret. Recupra encrypts both and uses them for machine access only.
- 02
Choose sandbox or production
Elation runs a separate sandbox with the same credential shape, so you can connect a test practice first and switch when you are ready.
- 03
Check each provider's availability
Recupra offers times inside the window set in Settings, then Calendar & Booking, then Availability. A provider with no window there has nothing to offer.
On the phone
A No Show rebooked before the day ends
A patient misses a morning chronic-care follow-up. Elation records it as Not Seen with a No Show detail, and the agent calls inside the practice's window.
- Agent
Hi, this is your doctor's office. We missed you this morning for your follow-up, and I wanted to get you back on the schedule.
- Patient
I am sorry, my ride fell through. I still need my refill too.
- Agent
Understood. Your provider has Friday at ten forty or Monday at three. Would either of those be easier to get to?
- Agent
Friday at ten forty, booked and confirmed. I have added a note about the refill so your provider sees it.
The agents
Every agent runs on Elation Health
The roster does not change per EHR. Whichever system you run, you choose which of these to turn on.
Waitlist Agent
A slot frees up and the agent calls the best-matched patient from your list, then books them in.
No-Show Agent
A patient misses a visit and the agent calls inside your window, finds out why, and reschedules.
Reminder Agent
Upcoming visits are confirmed on the channel each patient answers, so the miss surfaces early.
Intake Agent
A new inquiry gets a call back in minutes, qualified and booked into a real opening.
Follow-Up Agent
A patient who leaves without the next visit in their plan booked is called while the plan is still open.
Reactivation Agent
Dormant patients get a warm check-in calibrated to their care history, not a sales pitch.
Admin Agent
Reschedules, hours, and routine questions are resolved on the inbound line without staff.
The platform
Outcome-based, HIPAA-compliant, no migration
Recupra runs a diagnostic on your real clinic data, shows where revenue is leaking in dollars, and lets you activate the agents you want, paying only when they recover real revenue. See the outcome-based pricing, read how it works, or compare every EHR integration.
Elation Health stays the system of record. Recupra never migrates your data.
Elation Health FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to connect Elation Health?
A client ID and secret, which Elation issues when it provisions API access for your practice. You choose sandbox or production when you connect.
How does Recupra know what is open in Elation?
Elation publishes each provider's availability as a weekly rule rather than as slots. Recupra reads that rule and removes booked visits and Calendar Blocks, the same way Elation's Booking Site works out open times.
Can Recupra confirm an Elation appointment?
Yes. A patient who confirms on a Recupra call is set to Confirmed in Elation, so your calendar shows it the same way as a reminder confirmation.
Can Recupra register a new patient in Elation?
Yes. Elation lets Recupra create the patient record, assigned to a provider, so a new caller can be registered and booked into a real opening on the first call.
