How Recupra works with DrChrono
DrChrono is a long-established practice-management and EHR platform, common in independent primary care, podiatry, chiropractic, and physical therapy. Its API is broad, and it is the one integration Recupra ships that uses an OAuth authorization-code flow.
DrChrono publishes no free-slot endpoint. Recupra therefore derives availability the way a scheduler would: it takes your configured office hours, subtracts every booked appointment and blocker, and treats what is left as offerable. That is why the provider hours you set in Recupra matter more on DrChrono than on a vendor with a native slot API.

Reminders are a pre-visit tool. They reduce the miss, and then the schedule moves on. What they cannot do is have a conversation with the patient who missed anyway, or with the slot that opened at nine this morning.

Connecting DrChrono takes one sitting

Click connect and authorize
Recupra sends you to DrChrono's own authorize screen. You approve access there, and DrChrono hands Recupra a token. No credential is ever typed into a Recupra form.

Set your provider hours
DrChrono has no open-slot API, so Recupra needs to know when each provider actually works. This is the one setup step that carries more weight on DrChrono than elsewhere.

Choose your trigger statuses
DrChrono stores Cancelled, No Show, and Rescheduled verbatim. Cancelled fires a backfill by default. The other two are offered and stay off until you turn them on.
